Big Grizzly Creek Preserve

The Vision: Big Grizzly Creek borders the western edge of Grizzly Ranch for ½ mile. It is a valuable recreational resource for Grizzly Ranch property owners. The dam upstream at Lake Davis regulates the water flow in the creek, which results in constant flow year-round. Consequently, lush aquatic habitat and good water quality found at the site supports an excellent trout fishery. A conceptual plan for the area was developed in 2007 which details anticipated improvements.

Phase 1 improvements are complete and include brush clearing along the creek for fishing access, purchase of picnic tables and benches, and a network of primitive trails. The creek is accessible to residents from two locations; one from the cul-de-sac on Creek Road and another from Big Grizzly Creek Road between Lot 220 and Lot 221. The conceptual plan is currently being revised, so stay tuned.
