Beckwourth Cabin Nature Center

October 5, 2016

The Beckwourth Cabin replica will serve as an interpretive and learning center. It will be built on a prominent knoll next to the Botanical Gardens for easy access by residents and will be aesthetically surrounded by a series of pathways, gardens and benches for conversation. An architectural plan was prepared and construction will begin once funds are available. The knoll area will feature plant identification displays, a small amphitheater for storytelling and learning, a gathering site for Conservancy functions, a rustic play area for children, interpretive poster displays, a place to host speakers, and as the Conservancy store.
